Vacuum Pump Exhaust
The vacuum pump exhaust is a muffler plays an important part when milking, reducing the noise to keep the animals calm. Is located at the top of your vacuum pump. Please pay attention to the dimensions when it is time to replace it because we offer 2 different sizes according to the dimensions of the hole on your vacuum pump.
What is the purpose of a muffler
Exhaust removes dust and debris from the exhaust air that blows from the vacuum cleaner. The exhaust vacuum is an electric wet/dry vacuum to capture slurry and dust created. The Exhaust vacuum allows for exhaust hose so the vacuum can remain in close proximity to the cutting operations whilst moving the fumes away from the operator.
The surface temperature of dry vacuum pumps is hot, and their gas exhaust temperature can exceed 400°F, which can be a safety concern. Also, dry vacuum pumps typically have a high initial cost; they are typically twice as expensive the liquid ring pumps.
You can open your muffler and find an aluminum sponge inside that can be cleaned with water. You can find some graphite debris coming from the vacuum pump. One of the main questions from our customers are if our milking machines work with oil because they see some black liquid coming out from the muffler. When milking some condensation happens inside of the vacuum pump that can be transferred to the muffler. This is not Oil. That’s why it is important to dry your vacuum pump at least 1 per month, to keep your graphite pallets dry.
