Description

Milking Liner for portable milking systems

As the only part of a milking system to be exposed to the teat, a premium quality milking liner must adhere to strict hygiene regulations whilst remaining both gentle on the sensitive teats and ensuring efficient milking

It is the interface between the cow and the machine that determines the success of the milking process. The machine needs to react to the animal as sensitively as the milker ‘s hand. Anything less is a risk to animal health and jeopardizes fast milking, complete milking out and the efficiency of the milking process.

The necessary part of a milking machine is the milking liner, also known as the inflation. This component is what encompasses the teat and expels milk from the udder. It takes careful production and many quality checks to ensure this piece of the milking machine.

Milk Liner sizes matters

Proper liner fit leads to teats that are not at risk for mastitis after milking. This proper fit involves the interaction of the liner with the teat’s dimensions. What teat dimensions are important to know when choosing a liner?

More recently, we have been measuring the length of the teat. This measure takes place from the base of the udder to the teat end and includes the diameter of the teat at the teat base, the diameter of the teat midway down the teat, and the teat end shape.

Introducing air at the mouthpiece of the dairy liner behind the milk, the potentially damaging effects of the vacuum are reduced. The air vent helps to move the milk away from the teats, keeping them dry, reducing splash back and preventing bacteria from entering the teat. The overall result of this air vent is a gentle massage on the teat, whilst also reducing the somatic cell count (SCC) and the risk of mastitis.

How to change Liners

Milking Liner important

As the only part of a milking system to be exposed to the teat, a premium quality liner must adhere to strict hygiene regulations whilst remaining both gentle on the sensitive teats and ensuring efficient milking.

The air vent helps to move the milk away from the teats, keeping them dry, reducing splash back and preventing bacteria from entering the teat. The overall result of this air vent is a gentle massage on the teat, whilst also reducing the somatic cell count (SCC) and the risk of mastitis. The innovative triangular milking liner technology improves the liner’s grip on the teat, whilst the air vent improves the milk flow, increasing milk output and reducing cross-contamination.
